"Socca Market Tel Aviv" brings the vision, creativity and art of the small details that led Shai and Belinda Israel when they founded "Villa Socca" and "Vino Socca" that are few of the most prestigious and successful venues for special events.
The wide space with the exposed ceiling in Tel Aviv, where a gold refining and processing plant and was established in the late 1960s. It was discovered after years of searching for a crude and industrial site that, in a creative process, would turn into an urban diamond.
Thousands of work hours were invested in intensive and careful work to uncover and expose the ceiling and some of the walls in the original building. In addition, imported stones from specially dismantled old buildings were imported from Belgium to reinforce the industrial character of the place. Warm and caressing lighting, emanating from hand-made metallic lighting fixtures, floods the space with soft gold tones.
The main hall is paved with a wood, made of ancient wooden blocks that were assembled and embedded in a space where huge plates of presses were used to produce and stamp the gold molds. The wagons that led the gold casting became seating areas and the area where the gold castings were designed became an open kitchen made of stone and wood.
One of the original vaults where the gold is preserved, stayed reminiscent of the "golden period" of the building.
